Pictures of Island Life ~by Stephanie

Here are some pictures of our everyday life here on Utila. Enjoy!

After church service Sunday night we went out to eat at Mango Inn for pizza with Jose, Diana, and their daughter Yessy.

Early Monday morning, we said good-bye to Ms. Erin.

Andrea and I sleeping in the hammock on our back porch. (it was a long Monday, lol)

Bonnie joined us...it was welcomed, since many silly pictures were the outcome of her interuption.

This picture is for Dr. Hambrick. Bonnie sends her thanks! :p (malaria pills)

Bonnie picked up a coconut from school.

They got it opened!

All four of us with our new good friend Erin who lives across the street with her grandma during the week for school(college).

Quiet time.

Bonnie has continued to expand her cartoon's talents to fit island life. :):):)
(notice this drawing is done ON her homework!)

Boys at the beach playing in a dug out tree canoe thingy.

Right outside the beach.

The family car even comes with a baby seat! :)

The school children playing on their playground. (I had to take this pic for one who enjoyed his own tree playground at one time, lol)

Amanda claims her hands smell like doughnuts...of course this isn't a new thing...I think last time it was cherries...

And ME, multitasking, making water and uploading pics.

My family is out shopping while I fill each water bottle to complete our compiled seven gallon stash. We can last a whole two days! :)

Saturday July 12, 08 - Greeting to my loved and missed my brave daughter and granddaughters!!! I loved the pics you posted - the bikes - bird flowers and your life there in your little house. Stephanie preparing the water and Andrea - you look like you are really enjoying this trip. Is that Bonnie studying alone in the corner - The art work has really changed now- and my favorite - Sea Horse! Looks like you are all getting thinner - I hope to box up some stuff for you - even chocolate - if it melts - you can just break it in pieces - who cares what form it's in, right?? and look at the Bananas - even on a small piece of land - the Lord has provided everything there. Thank you for sharing the pictures! You are in my Prayers - and here's a Big Hug for each of my Dear Ones. Love you a lot - Mama and Grandma!

Hi,
Your days look delightful! It is nice to see the pictures of your day to day activities. How are you doing on fundraising? What is your address? We made a trip to some of the monuments, but mostly we have been getting settled. We are waiting on our shipment from Korea, so we are without a pc. I will check back as often as I can and we will pray for you. Love & miss you all, Starr (Mrs. Price)

Awww...that picture of the boys' playground brings back great memories. Did y'all try the coconut "milk" from that coconut Bonnie brought back from school? Those things never tasted like I thought they would/should. Blech. Great pictures!

Hello~

Awesome pictures!

Yall fit right in. It's great to see you interacting with the locals

Will you be able to put on the VBS during the SunJam? (you could use an interpreter in case you're not fluent yet...)

Bonnie, your cartoons are adorable and VERY well done, PLEASE keep them all and put them in that notebook you started.

We love you and you're in our prayers!

Love Deanna

Hey Yall,

I can see that yall are holding down the fort very well in Central America.

If I could make a practical suggestion, since this is a very unique opportunity that you have why don't you place a site-meeter on your blog? I would suggest Stat Counter. That way you can keep track of who, how many, and how often people take a look at your blog. For posterity's sake, right?

Hello sweet Islanders! What a joy those pictures were. Thank you Stephanie for "multitasking" and getting them posted. What a job that must be taking care of the water situation. Loved the kids at play pictures and I STILL want a hammock!! Of course it would never be used here in AZ this time of year---except maybe after a big rain when the temp cools down to about 80!! Was that a hummingbird? I have so many coming to my back yard and I love them and so did your great grandma Doris. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Now it's back to school and homework. We love you and send lots of big hugs and our prayers for you and for the people there.

PS---good to see word from you grandma. We sure miss her.
