Today was a wonderful day!! They asked us to sing in church, so tonight Erin and we 5 sang Father I adore You, and Come Thou Fount. For the hymn, we would sing a verse in English, and let the congregation sing the same verse in Spanish. We did that for all 3 verses. After evening church, we walked to Mango Inn- met some church members onthe way and asked them to join us. We all went there and visited and had really good pizza! We've not had much meat at all while here yet. Great fellowship! They've asked us to teach kids on Sunday morning with the materials we brought. We also let the Pastor take home the Jesus Film to preview and have suggested to him that we could organize a showing on the beach. We'll see what happens with that.
We'll get up early and walk Erin to the dock by 6am so that she can return home. We've been so thankful to have her here for our first week!! We feel settled in now and comfortable.I've got to go and finish my Spanish homework for tomorrow morning. We sure love y'all!
PS- Amanda is working on the pics. Hopefully by tomorrow.

It is so exciting to hear about your experience with the little church and that they are going to have you teach some bible classes. The Jesus film on the beach would be wonderful as I'm sure many more than just church people would gather to see it.
That is so neat that you had PIZZA with some of the people from church. (maybe you can do that on THURSDAY night sometime!)
I'm sure that you will miss Erin. Sounds like she was really helpful during your first week. Hope to meet her someday.
I enjoyed the pictures so much. Got them late last night so hope to show them to Ed this afternoon.
Lots of love and continued prayers.

Denise,
I love this blog. Thanks to you and the girls for keeping us posted on the Honduras happenings.
We will continue praying your time is sweet and God is glorified.
Which, by the way, as expected God did what He told you He would do by providing a way to Honduras(squeal with excitement). I just celebrate so much that you are all in Utila safely. This is such an encouragement to my faith.
I love you all and am so happy for you, Kim (Anderson)
That Sunday that Denise spoke about was a perfect day to completely round off my journey with the gals. What a moment it was looking out at the small congregation and singing about the Lord "with" them as they responded by singing back in Spanish. We didn't get a picture of that, but it will be etched in my mind. I'm back home and eased back into life as we know it here. I miss hearing the roosters at 4 am, followed by all the sun at 5 am, which was soon followed by the island accent of voices chatting up a storm outside of our windows. Part of the charm of the island is all the activity you are naturally involved in as you walk down the main street of Utila town along with all the other inhabitants and divers. What an added blessing I had to share life with the five fabulous gals! God is blessing the island with His presence through you already. I certainly had great peace of mind as I departed knowing that the sweet, sincere and loving church family will be taking grand care of you. I'd love to try and read a Spanish sentence now and then on the blog~ Miss you much!
