My First Week ~by Bonnie~

The first morning we woke up at a good hour, like 4:00am. And as soon as our grandma arrived we were off to the airport! After she dropped us off, we went inside and soon we were through security. Our gate was conveniently right in front of us so we sat down and waited for one hour until our flight was ready. This was a short flight so an hour later we where in Houston, and not soon after that we were aboard another plane headed to San Pedro Sula.when we got out of the plane we were outside so we went in and there we waited in the line for customs. Once through we all but Andi and Erin waited in a Wendy's line for one hour until we got our food. When we were done it was almost time for our next flight! We got outside to see this little puddle jumper,a plane that seats 18 people. This plane was very loud, yet soon we were over viewing the island. We all piled into a taxi once we had landed and got our bags, and it took us to the main street(named Main Street)Soon we had found a place to stay the night, the next day we would go to school and look for a home.
The next morning was rushed we thought we had slept in. Amanda and I rushed over to the school to tell the them sorry we where late, and the others will be here shortly. but when we got there they where cooking breakfast,so we sat down in one of the couches and looked at the TV. We could not understand a word they where saying but we looked at the bottom of the screen, to see the time was 7:22. we had all most an hour till school started. So we went back to tell the other the news. half way through class mom left to go look for a place to stay, and right after class ended mom said she found a place. But they where cleaning it at the time so we will have to wait to put our stuff in but we can look at it now. It was soooo cute! a cozy little living room, a smallish kitchen, two bedrooms, three full sized bed, and one bath. Out side on the porch I soon discovered a long hammock. Once they were done cleaning we put all our stuff in the house and crashed.
The next two days where about the same. Wake up, go to school, go shopping for food, come home, eat, take a nap, do homework, prepare supper and eat it, get ready for bed,and go to sleep.
The next day was the 4 OF JULY!!! we were all so happy we sang patriotic songs all day ate an American lunch. hot dogs, mac n' chez and coke'.we went swimming for an hour or so and then came home. that night we where going to make cookies, but our oven was not working. sooooo we had fried cookies; they tasted good, but they did not taste like cookies. We really wanted to see fireworks so we turn on the TV and there they were,Fireworks!!! they where pretty cool they went to the beat of the music that was playing and everything.but right in the middle we herd a banging out side. we all ran out to see in the distance fireworks going of at the beach on the other end of the main street...aka Main Street. They did not have many, but at least we saw them.
Saturday was a a relaxing day. no rush at all. at about 1:00 we went to the beach and got back into that super salty, but wonderful water. That night we went to church and it was game night! we would have been good at the games if it was in English, but in Spanish... not so much. but what ever we still every once in a while we got the answer before they could!!!
Sunday morning we went to church in the morning and at night. we just hung out during the day,it was a lot of fun!!!
Well i miss y'all all and can't wait to see y'all again in October! mi manchi.
