Are the days of gagging over? ~by Amanda

As you may have remembered from a post so long ago, Bonnie, Andi and I have had the hardest of times with the task of taking the dreaded MALARIA PILLS
Bonnie has a system down now, of crushing the small white inventions of torture and letting them soak in water before drinking them into her body. She claims the bitter taste runs and hides from her taste buds in doing so.
Andi, has on countless Mondays attempted to swallow malaria... pills, but I believe it ends in a pill crusher each time. Success was gained yesterday as she swallowed one pill.

For me, I believe these days of trauma are a thing of the past. For three Mondays now both pills have been swallowed. The first two weeks, gallons of water attempted to drown me in the process. But yesterday, a modest and refreshing amount of water ran through me, providing the two white pills a nice ride down my throat. My taste buds are not the only thing rejoicing as of now, but my entire face is as well. It did not enjoy the natural reaction of being disfigured each Monday evening. I was able to avoid the camera, and the hands manipulating it, as I went through such hard times, now the only pictures are those left in my mind.
It is so much easier now to protect myself against the diseases the many mosquitoes try to carry to me each minute.
Until Next Time...

Hi Amanda, mom and sisters.
Amanda---I am still laughing at your malaria pill story. (I DO NOT like mosquitos at all so guess I won't be coming to the island) That is great news that you have managed to learn how to take the pills and that you will no longer have to avoid the camera...
...which brings me to the subject WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE MORE PICTURES?? Hope that will be soon. We are still anxious to see diving pictures.
Have a blessed day. We send our love and prayers to all.

Oh, we totally forgot about pics! Thanks for reminding us. We'll have to do that soon :) We don't have underwater pics yet... that won't be until September, but we'll put some everyday life pics up soon.

OK---we will be looking for pictures soon. Would love to see the "everyday life" pictures. We will try to be patient until the underwater pics in September.
I'm sure you will be at church services tonight. Praying there are great things happening there.
SPECIAL NOTE TO STEPHANIE---Nick Vujicic will be at our church on the 28th. We are so excited since we missed him last year when he was there.

Hi Denise and girls,

Sorry it's been so long since I wrote.

What I want to see MOST is DENISE on the BICYCLE UNDER THE OCEAN!!!!!!

Rob says we're so glad your trip is going so great!

I've read ALL of your blogs and all comments, it's just great imagining you all diving and doing God's work and learning another language...

Yes we too are looking forward to seeing more pics!

Today Rob, me and the kids all went to a museum inside the Stock Exchange Building at the FW Stockyards to see a lightbulb that has been burning since Sept 21st of 1908, we got there as the museum closed, but still saw it on the shelf and we were able to even take a pic of it from the outside.
Can you top that??!! just kidding...

Oh, Denise, I feel for you. I'm so glad you kept diving even though you threw up. What great memories, really!

Hello Aunt Becky and Uncle Ed,
It's too late to back out now, I've already told Rob you're coming to town and we're all looking forward to seeing you and spending time with you both!!

We love you all!

Love, Rob, Deanna, Jeffrey and Taylor

Well, whatever you do, take your pills. ^^ (How come you guys didnt get malaria shots??)
Hey, you guys be careful over there... seriously.
God bless,

Hello Monday,
Hoping to hear soon about your trip to the Cays. I'm sure you had a wonderful time and are back to school today and very busy.
We are sure praying for that good internet connection soon so we can see those pictures. (I'm with Deanna---can't wait to see a picture of Denise riding a bike underwater. Guess you will be saving that feat for when the Weber's come next month.
We had a wonderful weekend here. Madison was baptized on Saturday evening and we had a fun celebration after.
Uncle Ed and I are still talking over a Fall trip to TX. Aren't able to make any real definite plans until we hear what is coming up with Ed's work schedule. So, keep praying with us about this.
Have a blessed day everyone.
Our love and prayers,
Aunt Becky and Uncle Ed

"Denise and gals"
Texas misses you and so do we. Aunt Hattie is doing well. Lennie is hanging in there and has a scan scheduled on Thursday. Just precautionary. We check your blog daily, or I should say I've been assigned this duty which I really enjoy and then report in to everyone. It sounds like this has been a ministerial, learning, teaching VACATION. We miss y'all. Know that y'all are in our prayers. We love you all.

We are trying not to worry and just blame not hearing from you on the bad interent connection thing. Last comment from you was that you were going to the Cays. So, we pray that all is well and we send you our love.

We will begin our "gagging days" in just a couple days! I hope they allow applesauce on the airplanes...its the only hope for Kathryn and Leah to get the pills down! I'm good as long as I can take the pills with food. See you guys in 9 or 10 days (if all goes as planned!).

-Lori
P.S. I've decided to give scuba a try. :-)

Hey Mills gals,
Skype is preeeetty much the coolest thing ever. Although y'all have got to get better internet. :p Amanda, ¡Tu acento es muy bueno! Can y'all roll your R's?
Yay Lori! Just don't let them show you any youtube videos of sharks, octopi, or any other scary underwater creatures.
Praying that the kids camp will work out in God's timing. Any decision on renting that theater all day some day? I don't know where this is from, but I keep thinking of that old phrase "build it and they will come". Anyway, hope y'all have a great rest of the week!

Wow...
I have excuses Aunt Becky... I was getting settled into my college when this post was posted. =P Otherwise, I most definitely would have been first post! And when I get my internet up and running, I will attempt to be first post ever after! Hmph... lol

So, malaria pills huh? Sounds to me like you're just being wimpy... Your mammy probably didn't have any problems swallowing the pills did she? But, even so, good job toughening up and getting 'em down. ;)

Also,
YALL HAD BETTER COME AND VISIT ME... Or I'll cry. *sob sob*

I'm still praying for you guys like crazy! God bless,
David Price

OK David---excuse accepted!! I do remember now that you had told the girls that you were leaving for college.
So, looks like it's just you and me David. Where are those girls??? (I did hear something about bad internet connection. Hummmmm.....do you suppose that's just an excuse. They are probobly off diving.) :-)
Hope and pray that you get the internet thing figured out soon. Miss hearing from you.
Love and prayers,
Aunt Becky and Uncle Ed
